Varicous Veins
Symptoms characterizing this decease include: low member heaviness, tiredness and pain, cramps, itching or edema (swelling). These can come with visible signs such as telangiectasia (spider veins) or varicose veins. The specialist must be consulted in all cases, and through a correct questioning,
physical exam and complementary studies (ecodöppler) the specialist will draw a precise diagnosis and decide the most adequate treatment to be followed in each case.Phlebological problems may be solved no matter how advanced the stage there of or the patient’s age. It is never too soon or too late to make a consultation.
We have currently excellent treatments for all kinds of phlebopathies. In the case of “spider veins”, the LASER is a therapeutical option allowing for surprising results, it is absolutely painless, changes are quickly noticed and treatments are not very long since extensive zones may be treated without any risk whatsoever. For the bigger telangiectasias with a lower response to the LASER, we have a novel method called Direct Endocapillary Regeneration (R.E.D. – Reconstitución Endocapilar Directa) consisting in the direct application of a medicament that regenerates the capillary, restoring its original size and thus allowing it to become invisible to the eye.
With these two treatments, either on an individual or a joint basis, we are able to solve all the cases of spider veins. If instead we have to deal with varicose veins affecting the different, more important or less important, venous trunks we may offer treatment with the endoluminal LASER. It involves introducing within the
affected vessel a very thin optical fiber that issues a LASER ray via one of its ends, and with a quick and simple outpatient procedure carried out under local anesthesia, the affected vein is eliminated, without pain during the procedure and with a quick and comfortable recovery not exceeding 24-48 hours.
